About me
I've always been intrigued by how people function - how they think, feel, why some people flourish and others don't. My journey initially led through various approaches, including esotericism, imagination, meditation and relaxation methods.
When I was growing up, I was significantly influenced by my experience at the Lipnice Vacation School, where I co-operated on experiential courses for teenagers and as a team-building instructor for companies.
After high school, I went through a longer phase of searching - first I briefly studied at the University of Economics, then I worked and studied as an au-pair in Paris, and in 2000 I enrolled in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University in Prague, where I graduated in 2007.
During my studies, I worked as a French teacher, where I helped students overcome barriers in learning and using the language.
Before graduating from university, I decided that as a psychologist, I needed to gain more life experience and accepted a job as an HR consultant for an American company, where I ultimately stayed for 20 years, especially thanks to an excellent team and a lot of interesting and diverse work opportunities. As an HR Business Partner, I dealt with various situations that almost always involved people and mutual relationships in some way, whether from the perspective of the managers towards their subordinates or vice versa. I usually tried to look for some practical solution and, if possible, tailor-made, which is not so common in the field of HR. I often took on the role of a psychological advisor and coach there as well.
Currently, I offer consultations to private clients, I work as a psychologist with the Routa Family Center within the program of Social activation services for families with children in difficult situations, and also as a psychologist and career counselor for the Children's and Youth Home in the city of Prague as part of the talent support project.
I am married, and my husband and I have a teenage daughter. My husband also has two adult daughters from his previous marriage who spent part of their childhood with us. We continue to enjoy seeing each other, albeit less often.
Hobbies have always played an important role in my life, especially various kinds of sports and music, which I still do today in varying variations and intensity.
